As a result, the number of new outpatient centers in the US has grown exponentially over the past 5 years. Although the Nephrologist is the primary care provider to the ESRD patient, a vast majority of these organizations are designed to be owned by surgeons or interventional radiologists.

AV Care Centers are 100% physician owned ambulatory surgical facilities developed to suit the needs of the individual practice, or PC. As a management services organization, AV Care integrates an access center into a Nephrology practice which controls a sufficient patient population to justify its own center, or creates a new Access PC by aggregating disparate Nephrologists/Nephrology PCs to achieve the necessary critical mass for a center.
